In Parallel wiring circuits, each load is connected across
the supply terminals.
As the load terminals
are connected across a common potential, the voltage across the loads will be
same, but the current through each load varies with its load resistance.

Current division in a parallel circuit
The total current through the source line will be divided
through the loads from the common junction. The algebraic sum of individual load
current will be equal to the total current delivered by the source.
